Cartridges are consumables, membranes wear out, pumps fail, and housings crack. We stock the full range for domestic, semi commercial and commercial systems — including parts for plants we did not supply.
Axtron Pakistan has supplied water treatment equipment across the country since 2005.

Shell, Housing or Vessel?
These three get confused constantly, and ordering the wrong one wastes everyone’s time.
Housing holds a filter cartridge — the PPF, GAC or CTO. Usually 10 inch or 20 inch, and on domestic systems often transparent so you can see the cartridge discolouring.
Shell holds an RO membrane. Different shape and different pressure rating, because the membrane operates under pump pressure while a cartridge housing does not.
Vessel is the large FRP pressure tank used on commercial systems for media filtration — sand, carbon or softener resin — rather than for cartridges or membranes.
If you are unsure which you need, send us a photo on WhatsApp. It takes us seconds to identify and saves you ordering the wrong part.
Which Part Is Failing?
Most people arrive here because something has changed with their water. Here is how to narrow it down before you buy anything.
Water output has dropped. Check the sediment cartridge first. A clogged PPF is by far the most common cause and the cheapest to fix. If the cartridge is clean and output is still low, the membrane or pump is next.
Water has started to taste or smell bad. Usually the carbon cartridge is exhausted. Once GAC or CTO carbon reaches capacity it can release what it has collected back into the water. If the system has been standing unused, the cartridges may also have been sitting in stagnant water — in that case they need replacing regardless of age.
TDS reading has climbed. The membrane is losing rejection. Check your pre-filters at the same time, because a neglected sediment stage is usually what wore the membrane out early.
Visible leak. Normally a housing O-ring or a fitting. Both are inexpensive.
No water at all. Check the pump. On domestic systems, also check the transformer.
If none of this matches what you are seeing, describe the problem on WhatsApp and we will help you identify it.
Cartridge and Membrane Life
PPF sediment cartridges — 15 to 30 days. Shorter than most people expect, and shorter still on heavily silted water. The housings are visible, so check them. When the cartridge looks fully dirty, change it immediately.
GAC and CTO carbon cartridges — 3 months maximum. Beyond that they stop working and start causing odour.
RO membranes — no fixed life. It depends entirely on your feed water and how well the pre-filters are maintained.
The one thing that matters most: keeping cheap cartridges fresh is what makes expensive membranes last. A clogged PPF stops protecting everything behind it, and the membrane then takes a load it was never designed for. Customers who replace sediment cartridges on schedule get years more from their membranes than those who wait until something goes wrong.
Parts for Any System
We stock parts for plants we did not supply. Our housings are standard 10 inch and 20 inch fittings, our membranes cover the common domestic and commercial sizes, and we carry the brands used across the Pakistani market.
If you bought your plant elsewhere and cannot find parts, send us a photo of the system or the part you need replaced. We will tell you what fits.
Repair and Service
In Multan, Lahore and Bahawalpur we have offices and service teams. We diagnose, repair and service RO plants and water filters — including systems bought elsewhere.
If you would rather not work out the fault yourself, call us and describe what is happening. We will tell you whether it is a part you can replace or something needing a visit, and whether repair is worth it before you spend anything.
Outside these three cities we deliver parts nationwide and help you diagnose by phone and WhatsApp.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you stock parts for plants bought elsewhere?
Yes. Our housings use standard 10 and 20 inch fittings and we carry the membrane sizes and brands common across Pakistan. Send a photo and we will confirm what fits.
What is the difference between a housing and a shell?
A housing holds a filter cartridge. A shell holds an RO membrane and is built for higher pressure. A vessel is the large FRP tank used on commercial media filtration.
How often should I replace cartridges?
PPF sediment every 15 to 30 days depending on your water, GAC and CTO carbon up to 3 months. Check the housing visually rather than relying on the calendar.
How do I know if my membrane needs replacing?
Rising TDS is the clearest sign, followed by dropping output that does not improve after replacing the sediment cartridge. A TDS meter takes the guesswork out.
My water output has dropped. What should I check first?
The sediment cartridge. It is the most common cause and the cheapest part to replace. Only look at the membrane or pump if a fresh cartridge does not fix it.
Why does my water smell?
Usually an exhausted carbon cartridge. If the system has been unused for a while, water standing in the housings may also have gone stagnant — in that case replace the cartridges before using it again.
Can I replace parts myself?
Most cartridge and membrane changes are straightforward, and we post servicing videos on our social media pages. Pumps and commercial work are better handled by a technician.
Do you deliver parts nationwide?
Yes, with cash on delivery available. On-site service visits are limited to Multan, Lahore and Bahawalpur.
