Domestic RO Fittings – 6mm and 10mm
Home RO plants in Pakistan use two standard pipe sizes:

Our domestic fittings are made in China and cover every connection in a home RO plant:
- Pipe: 6mm pipe roll (330 feet) and 10mm pipe roll (495 feet)
- Connectors: male and female connectors in ½ × 6mm, ½ × 10mm, ¼ × 6mm, ¼ × 10mm and 1/8 × 6mm, plus sockets, end plugs and stainless steel mixture connectors
- Elbows and tees: plain, front, pump and membrane feed elbows; plain, middle, side and Y tees in 6mm and 10mm
- Valves:
- Ball valves in 6mm and 10mm (SS and PVC)
- Tank valves
- Flush valves
- Non-return valves in 6mm and 10mm
- 4-way auto shut-off valve
- Switches: low pressure switch and high pressure switch (6mm)

What the Key Domestic Valves and Switches Do
- Auto shut-off valve: stops raw water entering the plant when the storage tank is full.
- Low pressure switch: stops the pump when the water supply drops, so the pump does not run dry.
- High pressure switch: stops the pump once the tank is full.
- Non-return valve: lets water flow in one direction only and stops it flowing back.
- Flush valve: used to flush the membrane.
- Tank valve: opens and closes the storage tank connection.
Commercial RO Fittings – Hydroplast UPVC Sch-80
Commercial RO plants run at much higher pressure than home units, so we use Hydroplast UPVC Sch-80 fittings, made in Pakistan, to handle that pressure. They are available in 1″, 1¼”, 1½” and 2″ sizes:
- Elbows: 90° and 45°
- Tees
- Sockets: plain, male and female
- Others: unions, compact ball valves, end caps and flanges
- Hydroplast grey solvent (479 ml PVC jointing cement) to bond UPVC joints

- 4 inch FRP vessel strainer
- Flower strainer
- ¾” and 1″ up-down strainer sets
- Float switch (water level controller)

Why RO Fittings Leak or Break – and How to Avoid It
From our experience in the field and at the counter, fittings fail for a few common reasons:
- Mishandling and transit damage. Plastic fittings can crack if dropped or roughly handled, including during courier delivery. Check fittings before installing them.
- Over pressure. Fittings pushed beyond the pressure they are made for start leaking. Domestic fittings belong on domestic plants, and commercial plants need Sch-80 UPVC.
- Wrong fitting. Pipe not cut straight, not pushed fully in, or the wrong size used causes slow leaks. Use 10mm only at the inlet and 6mm inside the plant.
- Weather and age. Fittings are plastic, so long use, heat and direct sunlight make them weaker and brittle over time. Keep the RO plant in a shaded place and replace old, discoloured fittings.
- Chemicals in raw water. Raw tap water often carries various chemicals that slowly weaken plastic fittings, especially on the raw water side of the plant.
