- The first ring sits at the top of the housing bowl.
- The second ring sits below the thread (“choori”), at the point where the thread ends and the bowl fits into the housing head.

Crystal or Blue – Where Is Your Filter Installed?
- Crystal (transparent) housings are for indoor use, such as a kitchen or under the sink. You can see the PPF inside and change it as soon as it turns brown or dark. From our field experience, that is usually every 15–30 days.
- Blue (solid) housings are for places with sunlight, such as rooftops, verandas, outdoor walls or near windows.
Warning: don’t use crystal housings in direct sunlight. Light reaching the wet cartridge inside causes moss (algae) growth, which spoils the filter and the water.

How to Open and Close a Domestic Housing Without Breaking It
From our service experience, most housing failures happen during filter changes:
- Always use a housing key. Never hit the housing with a knife, screwdriver or other tool to open or tighten it; this cracks the plastic. A domestic RO housing key is available under domestic RO fittings.
- Keep the housing straight. Screw the bowl into the head straight, not at an angle, so the thread and rings sit properly.
- Don’t over-tighten the thread (choori). Too much force can break the housing head or the housing itself. Tighten firmly with the key, then stop.
- Change cartridges on time. PPF every 15–30 days, and GAC and CTO every 3 months at most. Replacement cartridges are under domestic filters.
