Slim Housing Price in Pakistan – 20 Inch Semi Commercial RO Plant Housings
20 Inch Slim Housings for Semi Commercial RO Plants
A slim housing is the long, thin 20 inch filter housing used on semi-commercial RO plants and water filters. At our counter it’s known as the “patla” housing. It holds slim cartridges for systems that need more water than a home unit but less than a jumbo commercial plant. Axtron Pakistan supplies 20 inch slim housings in crystal, grey and blue, with 3/8″, ¾” and 1″ ports. We have branches in Multan, Lahore and Bahawalpur, wholesale rates for retailers across Pakistan, and cash on delivery to every city.
Who Uses Slim Housings?
Slim housings are fitted on semi-commercial plants and filters serving around 10–20 people, such as:
- Large families of more than 10 people
- Restaurants and shops
- Masajid and madrassas
- Small offices and small schools
- Small factories
Slim or Jumbo – Don’t Mix Them Up
Both slim and jumbo housings are 20 inches long, but they are completely different:
| Housing | Local Name | Shape | Used On |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slim | “Patla” | Long and thin | Semi-commercial plants and filters |
| Jumbo | “Mota” | Long and thick (big blue) | Commercial plants and whole-house filters |
Slim housings take slim cartridges only, and jumbo housings take jumbo cartridges only. Slim housings go on slim plants and jumbo housings on jumbo plants.
Slim Housings We Supply
| Housing | Port Size | Colour |
|---|---|---|
| Axtron slim 20 inch ¾ crystal | ¾” | Crystal (transparent) |
| Slim 20 inch ¾ housing | ¾” | Solid |
| 20 inch slim grey housing | 1″ | Grey |
| 20 inch slim blue housing | 3/8″ | Blue |
Choosing the Port Size
The port size should match the water line connections at your plant or premises. Check your existing fittings before buying, or send us a photo on WhatsApp and we’ll confirm the right housing.
Crystal or Solid – Indoor or Outdoor?
- Crystal slim housings are for indoor plants. You can see the cartridge inside and change it as soon as it turns brown or dark.
- Grey and blue solid housings are for plants exposed to sunlight, such as rooftop or outdoor plants at masajid, schools and factories.
Warning: don’t use crystal housings in direct sunlight. Light reaching the wet cartridge inside causes moss (algae) growth, which spoils the filter and the water.
How to Open and Close a Slim Housing Without Breaking It
From our service experience, most housing failures happen during cartridge changes:
- Always use a slim housing key. Never hit the housing with a knife, screwdriver or other tool; this cracks the plastic. A slim housing key is available under commercial RO fittings.
- Keep the housing straight. Screw the bowl into the head straight, not at an angle, so the thread and seal sit properly.
- Don’t over-tighten the thread (choori). Too much force can break the housing head or the housing itself. Tighten firmly with the key, then stop.
- Change slim cartridges on time. PPF every 15–30 days, or as soon as it turns fully brown, and GAC and CTO every 3 months at most. Slim cartridges are under semi commercial filters.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a slim housing?
A long, thin 20 inch filter housing, known as “patla” in the market. It is used on semi-commercial RO plants and water filters.
What is the difference between slim and jumbo housings?
Both are 20 inches long. Slim is thin and takes slim cartridges; jumbo is thick and takes jumbo cartridges. They are not interchangeable.
Who uses slim housings?
Semi-commercial plants for around 10–20 people: large families, restaurants, shops, masajid, madrassas, small offices, small schools and small factories.
Which port size do I need?
Match it to the water line connections at your plant: 3/8″, ¾” or 1″. Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we’ll confirm.
Should I use a crystal or solid slim housing?
Crystal for indoor plants. Grey or blue for plants in sunlight, because crystal housings grow moss when exposed to light.
Why did my slim housing break?
Usually from over-tightening the thread, fitting it at an angle, or hitting it with a tool. Always use a slim housing key and keep the housing straight.
