This RO filter set for 3 months gives you every pre-filter your RO plant needs for one quarter: 3 PPF sediment filters, 1 GAC and 1 CTO. All five are Axtron cartridges made in Vietnam, and the PPF is our 180 gram grade. The quantities aren’t random. They match how long each cartridge actually lasts in Pakistani water, based on our field experience servicing RO plants. The set costs less than buying the cartridges one by one. The PPF in this set is the 180 gram grade. In the Pakistani market, 10 inch PPF filters are sold from 80 to 180 grams. More material means finer cleaning and more days of work before the cartridge chokes, so 180 grams is the top grade.
Why 3 PPF but Only 1 GAC and 1 CTO?
Each cartridge wears out at a different speed:

The PPF does the hardest work. It catches all the dust, rust, sand and mud before anything else, so it fills up fastest. Changing it every month keeps dirt away from the carbon filters and the RO membrane.
The GAC and CTO last longer, but not forever. Carbon used past 3 months stops working and starts causing smell in the water. That’s why the set includes one fresh GAC and one fresh CTO on the same 3-month cycle.
How to Use the Set Over 3 Months

Watch the PPF rather than the calendar. When the whole cartridge has turned brown or dark, change it, even if a month hasn’t passed. With very muddy boring water, it may need changing every 15 days. A transparent 10 inch housing makes this easy to check.
What Each Filter Does
- PPF sediment filter (stage 1): traps dust, rust, sand and mud.
- GAC carbon filter (stage 2): removes smell and improves taste.
- CTO carbon block filter (stage 3): further removes smell and protects the membrane before water enters it.
These three stages protect your RO membrane, which does the main purification and reduces TDS. Fresh pre-filters are the single biggest factor in how long a membrane lasts.

Tips From Our Service Team
- RO plant or filter left unused for a while? Replace all cartridges before switching it back on. Water standing in the housings goes stale and starts to smell, and empty housings dry the cartridges out.
- Non-electric water filters: run them on normal overhead tank pressure. Never connect directly to a motor or pump line.
- Very hard water? A cation resin cartridge in an extra housing helps protect the membrane from hardness.
