So Pure Jumbo UDF – Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Dechlorination Filter Cartridge, 20 Inch, for Commercial RO Filtration In Pakistan

So Pure Jumbo UDF – Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Dechlorination Filter Cartridge

The So Pure Jumbo UDF is a 20-inch jumbo dechlorination filter cartridge, built with coal-based activated carbon and a de-chlorination material blend. It's NSF certified and carries a Water Quality Association member mark — both confirmed directly from the product's own label. If you already have a 20-inch jumbo filter housing on an RO plant, whole-house system, or commercial setup, this is a direct replacement cartridge.

What This Filter Does

Per the manufacturer's own stated features, this cartridge:

• Removes chlorine, surplus organic compounds, and gases that cause odor in water
• Protects RO membranes from clogging residues

It's important to be clear about scope: like other activated carbon filters, the UDF targets chlorine, organic compounds, and odor — it does not remove dissolved salts (TDS), heavy metals, or bacteria/viruses. Those require an RO membrane or a UV stage. This filter's role is pre-treatment, protecting the more expensive components downstream.

What It's Made Of

Per the product label, the composition is coal-based carbon and de-chlorination material. Coal-based activated carbon is a well-established, widely used source for activated carbon in water treatment — it works on the same principle as any activated carbon media: contaminant molecules bond to the carbon's porous surface as water passes through (adsorption), rather than being mechanically strained out.

Installation Note (Important)

Per the manufacturer's instruction printed on the cartridge: wash/flush the cartridge before water flows into the RO membrane. This clears any initial residue from the filter media before it reaches the membrane stage — skipping this step risks carrying fine particles into the RO membrane.

Applications

• Pre-filtration/dechlorination stage for commercial and industrial RO plants
• Whole-house jumbo filter housings (main water line)
• Replacement cartridge for existing jumbo UDF/carbon housings
• Offices, restaurants, hospitals, and schools using jumbo filtration systems

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What does the So Pure Jumbo UDF filter remove? Chlorine, surplus organic compounds, and gases that cause odor in water — per the manufacturer's stated features on the product label.

Q2: What is this filter made of? Coal-based activated carbon combined with a de-chlorination material, per the product specifications.

Q3: Is this filter certified? Yes — it carries an NSF certification mark and is a Water Quality Association member product, both printed on the label.

Q4: Does this filter make water safe to drink on its own? No. It removes chlorine, organic compounds, and odor — it does not remove dissolved salts, heavy metals, or biological contaminants. It's used as a pre-filtration stage before an RO membrane, not as standalone purification.

Q5: Do I need to do anything before installing it? Yes — the manufacturer specifies washing/flushing the cartridge before water flows into the RO membrane, to prevent residue from reaching the membrane.

Q6: What's the maximum operating pressure? 5 bar, per the product specifications.

Q7: Will this fit my existing jumbo filter housing? Yes — standard 20-inch jumbo cartridge, compatible with standard jumbo housings used across Pakistan.

Q8: How often should this be replaced? This depends on your water quality and usage, and I don't have confirmed field data for this specific cartridge to give you a fixed number — please provide a figure based on your own customer experience before publishing this answer, rather than me estimating one.

Q9: Is delivery available across Pakistan? Yes, Axtron Pakistan offers nationwide delivery, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Multan.
