Pressure Vessel 10x54 – Glass Reinforced Epoxy Tank for Sand, Carbon, Arsenic & Softener Media
The Pressure Vessel 10x54 (Model 1054) is an empty pressure vessel used as the housing for media-based filtration and water treatment in commercial RO plants. It's built as a glass reinforced epoxy vessel with a polyethylene inner shell — a construction detail confirmed directly from the manufacturer's label. As with our other vessels, it's sold empty — you fill it with whatever media your application requires.
A Mid-Capacity Option Between Our 8-Inch and 13-Inch Vessels
At 10 inches in diameter and 54 inches tall, this vessel sits between our 8-inch diameter range and our 13x54 vessel, offering more capacity than the smaller sizes while staying more compact than the larger commercial and industrial options.
Multi-Purpose by Design
Because this is an empty vessel, one tank design supports several different treatment functions depending on what you load it with:
- Sand: For sediment and turbidity removal in larger-scale pre-filtration.
- Carbon (GAC or similar): For chlorine, taste, and odor removal ahead of an RO membrane.
- Arsenic removal media: For treating groundwater with elevated arsenic levels — a documented concern in parts of Pakistan's groundwater supply.
- Water softener resin: For hardness removal via ion exchange.
- Gravel: Commonly used as a support/underbedding layer beneath the primary media.
This vessel does not include media, a distributor tube, control valve, or strainer — those are selected and purchased separately based on your specific application.
Using a Strainer With This Vessel
Since this vessel is sold empty, you'll need a vessel strainer as part of your setup whenever you fill it with loose media like sand, carbon, arsenic removal media, or gravel. The strainer connects to the center riser pipe and sits at the bottom of the vessel, holding the media securely in place while letting filtered water pass through into the pipe and out to the next stage.
Strainer size depends on your specific riser pipe and setup rather than the vessel size alone — contact us to confirm the right strainer for this installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Does this vessel come with filter media included?
No — this is the empty vessel only. You select and fill it with the media appropriate for your application (sand, carbon, arsenic removal media, softener resin, or gravel), purchased separately.
Q2: Do I need a strainer with this vessel?
Yes — since this is sold empty, you'll need a strainer along with a distributor/riser pipe to hold your chosen media in place and allow filtered water to exit correctly. Strainer size depends on your specific setup — contact us to confirm the right size for this installation.
Q3: What is this vessel made of?
A glass reinforced epoxy vessel with a polyethylene inner shell, per the manufacturer's label.
Q4: What's the maximum operating pressure?
