Pressure Vessel 24x72 – Large Capacity FRP Tank for Sand, Carbon, Arsenic & Softener Media
The Pressure Vessel 24x72 (Model 2472) is a large-capacity empty FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) tank, built for industrial and larger commercial water treatment installations that need significantly more media volume than our smaller vessels. As with our other vessels, it's sold empty — you fill it with the media your specific application requires.
Built for Larger-Scale Installations
At 24 inches in diameter and 72 inches tall, this is our largest vessel size, holding a substantially larger media bed than our 8x18, 8x44, or 21x62 vessels — suited to industrial plants, larger commercial buildings, and installations processing higher water volumes, while operating within the same pressure and temperature envelope as our smaller vessels.
Multi-Purpose by Design
Because this is an empty vessel, one tank design supports several different treatment functions depending on what you load it with:
- Sand: For sediment and turbidity removal at industrial scale.
- Carbon (GAC or similar): For chlorine, taste, and odor removal ahead of downstream treatment.
- Arsenic removal media: For treating groundwater with elevated arsenic levels at higher volumes.
- Water softener resin: For hardness removal via ion exchange in larger buildings or facilities.
- Gravel: Commonly used as a support/underbedding layer beneath the primary media.
This vessel does not include media, a distributor tube, control valve, or strainer — those are selected and purchased separately based on your specific application.
Using a Strainer With This Vessel
Since this vessel is sold empty, you'll need a vessel strainer as part of your setup whenever you fill it with loose media like sand, carbon, arsenic removal media, or gravel. The strainer connects to the center riser pipe and sits at the bottom of the vessel, holding the media securely in place while letting filtered water pass through into the pipe and out to the next stage — without it, media can leak into your water lines and filtration performance drops.
Strainer size depends on your specific riser pipe and setup rather than the vessel size alone — contact us to confirm the right strainer for this installation.

Industrial water treatment plant builders, larger commercial facility operators, and technicians assembling high-capacity filtration or softening systems that need the largest vessel size in our range.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Does this vessel come with filter media included?
No — this is the empty vessel only. You select and fill it with the media appropriate for your application (sand, carbon, arsenic removal media, softener resin, or gravel), purchased separately.
Q2: Do I need a strainer with this vessel?
Yes — since this is sold empty, you'll need a strainer along with a distributor/riser pipe to hold your chosen media in place and allow filtered water to exit correctly. Strainer size depends on your specific setup — see our vessel strainer range or contact us to confirm the right size for this installation.
Q3: What's the maximum operating pressure?
150 PSI (10 Bar), the same rating as our other vessel sizes, confirmed directly from the manufacturer's label.
Q4: What temperature range is this rated for?
34–120°F (1–49°C) for operation. It must not be exposed to temperatures below -17°F (-27°C), even when not in use.
Q5: What is this vessel made of?
FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) — consistent with our other vessels.
Q6: What does "24x72" mean?
It refers to the vessel's nominal size — 24 inches in diameter by 72 inches in height, our largest available size.
Q7: Can this be used for pneumatic or air pressure applications?
No — this vessel is approved for water treatment use only, and must not be used for pneumatic or hydro-pneumatic applications.
Q8: Is delivery available across Pakistan?
Yes, nationwide delivery is available, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Multan.
